The best way to keep up to date with England Deaf Rugby Union

Rugbyfest success

EDRU women play fantastically to secure victory.

“Loved the rugby, loved the wheel chair rugby, what a fantastic day, working with in the community” Sean Fletcher (Head Coach)

Our women's team showed exactly how much they have improved with a strong and physical game against Rugby Lionesses at Rugbyfest.

Some fantastic tries from original members and new players made this a perfect platform to show how much the EDRU women's set up has improved over the past two years, with players now being selected on merit rather than just due to availability.

Ben Mousley has taken to the coaching set up extremely well and has already set out his plan and direction for the ladies team.

Some great images can be seen on the EDRU twitter account @deafrugby

Not only did the ladies play well and secure another victory, but they also engaged with the Wooden Spoon charity at exhibition for wheel chair rugby. Our coaches and players were absolutely staggered with the wheelchair players ability.

EDRU would like to thank Solentsharks and Wooden Spoon organizers for their time and patience.
