EDRU was set up to enable deaf & hard of hearing people to get together & enjoy the sport of rugby

and be able to participate in every aspect whether training, match, or knowing socially that there aren't any communication barriers due to a common ground.

EDRU can offer Deaf Awareness advice to clubs and schools Integrate Deaf and hard of hearing players to clubs and liaise with club members to ensure the player(s) are managed correctly.

EDRU is made up of a group of very committed volunteers who work tirelessly to develop the game for Deaf players.

EDRU has developed a coherent management structure, which will support both the development and performance side of the game.

The group meets on a regular basis, we even organise taster rugby sessions for deaf children too.
