NPower Tag Rugby Day for Deaf youngsters
NPower Tag Rugby Day for Deaf youngsters
Around 20 budding young Deaf rugby players stars in Yorkshire took part in a fun day along with their families at Pontefract RFC on 9th August 2005. They also had an enjoyable barbecue lunch.
The youngsters were learning how to play tag rugby, with the help of a fully qualified RFU coach and two interpreters. This event gave the Deaf youngsters the opportunity to feel and enjoy the game of rugby and I hope they would start and continue playing tag rugby through their local junior rugby clubs.
Our many thanks to the President and members of Pontefract RFC for the use of their facilities free of charge.
