2 months ago By PR & Media Department

This will be a great loss to EDRU but a huge benefit to World Deaf Rugby.

“I wish Tony well in his new challenge, he he has guided me throughout my time with England Deaf. Tony is a huge asset for World Deaf Rugby” Sean Fletcher (Head Coach)

Tony Stoyles has been a stalwart and committed member of EDRU for the past 13 years, he been a player and a committee member and over the past few years has been the Chairman.

Tony has lead the development of the game through difficult times of restricted funding, professionalism to name just a couple of hurdles.

Tony has been an exemplary member of the organisation, managing the growth and awareness of deaf rugby and constantly implementing the core values of the charity.

Tony has seen the size of the mens and womens squad swell as England Deaf have led the way in promoting and raising awareness of deaf rugby. Implementing change via direct contact with the RFU and managing the expectations of players, coaches and committee members.

Tony's will to improve and grow the world of deaf rugby has lead to the fantastic opportunity to take control as Chairman of World Deaf Rugby Organisation.

Tony has been a credit to England Deaf Rugby and Tony will be an asset and credit to World Deaf Rugby.

Congratulations Tony and good luck.
