After the success of last season and the women's squad growing to in excess of 30 players, EDRU have recruited a coach who has refreashing ideas and is keen to move the ladies into the next phase of competitive rugby.
Ben is from St Helens in Merseyside and has previously been the head coach at Ruskin Park RUFC, he also works with the RFU community rugby coaches in several Merseyside and Cheshire based schools, delivering rugby sessions to 10 - 17 year old pupils. Ben predominantly played centre and finished his playing career in the back row.
Ben will work alongside head coach Sean Fletcher in establishing a two year plan that will hopefully incorporate the first full XV aside women's Deaf International he will also take the lead for the EDRU women's squad in the up and coming deaf world sevens competion in Australia 2018.
